Something needs to be done and so Delaney's friends step up to the plate and therefore begins The Dating Intervention.

There are several rules, she can only go on dates with the guys that they pick, she can't have sex with them -not instantly , she has to get a new job. Things are proving harder than they can be though for Delaney as the dates have been awful except one she keeps running into the new cop Jake Rhoades - can Delaney put aside her past history and open her heart to settling with Jake or is it a case of "Always a player, never a settler"?

With not much job experience except Bar Work -Delaney is finding it hard to get a job but when one comes up in the Vet Field - will she be able to handle the job or is her Vet skills out of practice? This was a fun light-hearted chick lit girlfriend friendship story and that no matter what happens in life - if you have great friends, they are always there to pull you out of whatever rut you land in.

As she started to grow up and take charge of her own life things started to fall into place for her. Even to the very end you were left wondering if this book would end on a happy note. I would even say it could qualify for an older teenager. There were references to sex but nothing beyond references. It was a great book and I think with so many girls who can relate it is one to keep in mind to share with friends. Well I was needing something fun to read and this book hit the spot.

I love the characters and felt they are well developed and interesting. I love Delaney, I mean in a I am her mother sort of way, I always love the name Delaney and when I was having kids in the 80s this was not on the popular list, and would have loved to name a daughter Delaney, so she could be my daughter.

Anyway I just felt this book was fun and enjoyable to read. I love the fact that her friends are there and care, love the Well I was needing something fun to read and this book hit the spot. Delaney and her friends have known each other since they were kids, went through the teenager and college years together.

I think the friendship between Delaney, Summer and Josie is great and well written in the story. I think it is awesome that Delaney has such meddlesome friends and of course the three of them seem to be that way to each other, and they still remain friends. Great fun book to read. Although she has a Vet degree she has never worked in that field content to be a barmaid. With living on take a way and a fool proof dating strategy after having her heart broken she casually dates 3 men at the same time so she always has a boyfriend. When that strategy falls apart, her friends Summer and Josie come up with the Dating Intervention that will change her life. She meets Jake through an accident, but with her friends rules she is also dating other guys and also has a go at speed dating. Wonderful book that kept me reading till the end with the twists and turns throughout the book.

What follows is a series of dating matches they set up. This creates many funny situations and Delaney tries her best to follow her friends efforts. Will Josie every find her match. Girlfriends everywhere can relate Reading this book felt like I was hanging out with my girlfriends. The situations were relatable and entertaining.

As the novel progressed, however, I came to see Vanessa as a more well-rounded person, who cares deeply about her family and her friends, and wants what most of us want, to have a loving partner in life. While her friends were trying to be helpful by wanting to get Vanessa to find love in others, what I came away with upon reading this novel was that Vanessa comes into her own and finally finds love in herself.

I was pulling for Vanessa throughout, annoyed at her friends, etc. You feel like you are there in every "scene. This is a perfect book for vacation or general reading to take your mind off things.

The author used accept instead of except. The author explains everything in vivid detail. I personally feel that the book has too much detail. While this book has lots of promise, I think it could be better if the author has a professional editor work on it. Thanks for a good read Lynn. The bunnies and I give this book 3 carrots.
